Surat Falaq

Surat Falaq, also known as "The Daybreak" or "The Dawn," is the 113th chapter (Surah) of the Quran, the holy book of Islam. It is a short chapter consisting of five verses and is often recited for protection from evil and harm. Here is the text of Surat Falaq in transliteration and translation:

Transliteration

  1. Qul a'udhu birabbil-falaq
  2. Min sharri ma khalaq
  3. Wa min sharri ghasiqin itha waqab
  4. Wa min sharri an-naffathati fil-'uqad
  5. Wa min sharri hasidin itha hasad
Translation

  1. Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak
  2. From the evil of that which He created
  3. And from the evil of darkness when it settles
  4. And from the evil of the blowers in knots
  5. And from the evil of an envier when he envies."

Muslims recite Surat Falaq as part of their daily prayers and also at times when they seek protection from harm, evil eye, or negative influences. It is believed to provide spiritual protection and guidance.
